Hotch & Shelly’s Texas Jambalaya

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

Directions (Stove Top)

  1. Cook the Texmati White Rice per the directions or in a rice cooker, but only use 1 ½ cans of the Swanson Beef Broth (Low Sodium). (Adding the butter is preferred, no extra salt) Then set aside or store in large zip lock bags in fridge for later use.
  2. Stove on medium, pre-heat the olive oil a 5-6 quart pan, then sauté the Sweet Onion and Poblano Peppers till soft, then add the minced Garlic and cook for 1 minute longer.
  3. Add the par cooked Texmati White Rice and stir to coat rice with olive oil.
  4. Add the Rotel Tomatoes and Green Chilies, undrained and stir.
  5. Then add the It’s My Rub Power Blend and Fiesta Spices Chili Lime Seasoning to ½ can of Swanson Beef Broth, stir and then pour into the pan.
  6. Add the Kiolbassa Jalapeno & Cheddar Beef Sausage and Kiolbassa Chorizo, and stir.
  7. Then cook on a medium to high heat for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. (Check the Texmati White Rice often for hydration and doneness) Add additional Swanson Beef Broth if more liquid is needed. Rice should be cooked to al dente.
  9. Add in the Ranch Style Beans undrained, stir and heat through. (No more the five minutes)
  10. Salt to taste with Lowry’s Seasoned Salt.
  11. Offer your guests a full selection of the Tabasco Pepper Sauce products to try.      Original, Green Pepper, Garlic Pepper, Chipotle, Habanero or Tabasco Sriracha

*Cut each of the Kiolbassa Chorizo and Jalapeno & Cheddar Beef Sausages lengthwise in quarters then slice across to make small size pieces.
